By utilizing high-altitude balloons that can ascend to 80,000 to 120,000 feet—and in some cases, even higher—we are laying the groundwork for low-cost, high-performance space exploration. These platforms offer the unique ability to provide real-time data on atmospheric conditions, space weather monitoring, and earth observation, all without the complexities of rocket launches.
Kobalt's future-focused projects include testing new balloon-based payload bays capable of carrying advanced sensors and imaging devices, unlocking critical insights into Earth's upper atmosphere and beyond.
